The Tempesta Sonic bridges the gap between classic 200-TW semi-slicks and uncompromising premium track tires (such as the Cup 2 R) or even full slicks. Designed for drivers who are chasing lap times but can’t do without street legality. Thanks to a blend of the finest raw materials, its lifespan is significantly longer than that of full slicks.

We’ve put the 245/40 17 tire through extensive testing and are pleased to finally be able to offer you a high-performance tire in a size suitable for the E36. Especially on the lightweight BMW E36, its stable yet flexible sidewall means it isn’t sensitive to low tire pressures—such as after a prolonged track closure.

Since the tire is designed for higher camber angles, it can be used in the 245/40 17 size on the E36. (depending on the extent of modifications to the wheel wells and fenders)
