Fuel pump E36 – precision for your track tool

If you're converting your E36 to M3 3.2L technology (S50B32 or S54B32), or want to replace your aging fuel pump before it causes problems, it's important to supply the engine with 5 bar of fuel pressure.
The original, very expensive pump unit is currently unavailable, which is why we at Garage36 offer you a cost-effective alternative. The original pump unit can remain in place, as only the pump is replaced, which fits plug-and-play into the existing tank insert.

When replacing the fuel pump, we also recommend our tank optimization to ensure a reliable fuel supply even in long right-hand bends.

FAQs

No, the fuel pump fits 1:1 into the original vibration-damped bracket due to its plastic housing.
All engine variants up to and including the M3 3.0 (S50B32) are supplied with 3 bar fuel pressure. These include: 316, 318, 320, 323, 325, 328, and the M3 3.0. The S50B32 and S54B32 engines require a fuel pressure of 5 bar.
When replacing the fuel pump, we also recommend replacing the hoses and our fuel tank optimization (available separately in our shop) to ensure a reliable fuel supply even in long right-hand bends. Please note that when converting to S54B32, the fuel pressure regulator is not attached to the engine, but must be mounted as a separate part under the vehicle floor (like E46 M3 series).
